Training Placements

About our Training Placements

We offer supported training placements for adults with learning disabilities within our café and kitchen. We train people in all aspects of café and catering, including:

  • Food preparation e.g. knife skills, making sandwiches
  • Baking (cakes, desserts)
  • Cooking (main meals, sauces, snacks)
  • Customer service e.g. serving customers, waitressing
  • Using a till
  • Kitchen assistant duties e.g. washing up, using a dishwasher, cleaning
  • Making hot drinks

We will work with each trainee to create a personal training and development plan, identifying skills to be learnt. This plan will chart progress and development of skills and experience.
